Pepper vines are usually start yielding after 3 years. Back pepper flowers during May-June once in a year. The crop is ready for harvest in 6-8 months from flowering. The harvest season extends from January to March in the hills. The green pepper is handpicked by labours and dried in sun. 4 Kg to 5Kg Green pepper is dried to get 1Kg of Black Pepper
